Taproot moved the work away from a screen and into a physical object: a propagation product designed to hold plant cuttings while they rooted in water.

01The product

A practical object for growing plants.

The propagators paired a wooden holder with glass vessels, creating a compact way to keep cuttings upright, visible and in water while roots developed.

02The difference

Physical products change the questions.

Unlike software, every decision had a material consequence. The object had to be made, photographed, packed and supplied rather than merely described on a website.

03What remained

A useful move beyond digital work.

Taproot was a lesson in turning an idea into something tangible. It made product presentation, consistency and the practical details of fulfilment impossible to ignore.
